How do I obtain disability benefits in New Mexico?

In order to obtain Social Security disability benefits, you must file an application with a local field office in the state, either in person, by phone or online. Nonetheless, the application process is complex. There are vast amounts of information that must be provided which includes medical records prepared by your treating physician. In any event, a high percentage of initial applications are denied. By working with our experienced disability benefits attorneys, you can avoid the pitfalls that often lead to applications being denied. We can help you file your case!

What happens if my disability benefits application is denied?

If your application is denied, the SSA will notify you in a letter explaining the reasons for the denial and informing you of your right to appeal the decision. At this point, you are well advised to engage the services of Roeschke Law, LLC. We have extensive experience in the disability appeals process from Requests for Reconsideration to disability hearings. In the event the appeals process is exhausted, and the claim is still denied, we are fully prepared to litigate the case in federal court if we determine there is a strong likelihood for success.
